A Message from our Pastor
Welcome. Thanks for checking out our church online.
With about 850 active members, all ages can be found joining in worship, from those who arrive in baby seats to those who use a walker. We are not easily classified theologically, because we have a diversity of opinion, we respect each other and we unite in our oneness in Jesus Christ! We like traditional worship for the depth of its meaning and yet the congregation is very open to trying new ideas in ministry.
As you explore this website I hope that you will note the following:
- our well developed and enthusiastically staffed Christian Education program offering varied Sunday and midweek classes for adult learners, as well as for our youth;
- our tradition of excellent music as part of our worship together and the varied opportunities for participation in our choirs, and
- the great variety of mission programs supported by our members. More than 6,000 volunteer hours have been directed toward mission efforts with 20% of our congregational giving directed toward mission efforts.
We are especially pleased that renovations completed in 2009 enable us to enjoy accessibility for all, secured childcare, and inviting areas for learning and fellowship.
I have been pastor here since 1987—the congregation is too exciting to leave! Our ministerial staff includes Dana Sloan, Minister of Music and Nadia Mullin, Associate Pastor. Sheri Sessions is our Director of Christian Education. To learn more about our staff visit our staff page.
